		<description>Thanks, this was a big help as I have some difficult fringe effects on an otherwise lovely photo of some trees. There is noticable fringing (not halo, but purple fringe) on the bright edge of some of the trees. I am going to try to play with the Photomatix strength and smoothing settings to see if I can fix it.</description>
